Feeling the Burn
Working out is hard. It takes motivation and discipline to push through once you start feeling the burn. For some, there is a rush of endorphins that take over – the so called runner’s high. For others, the pain is a reminder that they are getting better. That discomfort today makes us stronger tomorrow.
Not all of us have the willpower to overcome the challenges of working out. We let lives get in the way. We make excuses.
But there are a million reasons why we should be working out and a million reasons for us to push through the discomfort. Fortunately, there is no single type of exercise that is best for everybody.
Whether it’s lifting weights, riding a bike, meeting a group in a park, going for a hike, or any other form of exercise, just get out the door and do it. It may be hard, and your body my complain today about it, but it will thank you tomorrow.
